Getting naked with Urban Decay Naked Palette!! with swatches

Lookie what came for me in the mail last Sunday...
It's my very own Urban Decay Naked Palette!! Wuhooo! I've been waiting for this since it was launched and I'm one of the lucky few that snatched up this palette before it went out of stock. But don't worry I heard that its going to be a permanent product of Urban Decay unlike those notorious Book of Shadows.

It was my first time to pre-order from multiply since I'd rather buy on-hand stocks but I wasn't disappointed! =D I got mine from CareFreeShopper and Armie is so nice! I deposited my balance on Friday afternoon and got my package Sunday! She even added freebies!

Thanks Armie!
Now I won't hesitate to but pre-order from her again. =D

The Urban Decay Naked Palette has 12 eyeshadows with a dual-ended 24/7 pencil liner in Zero (Black) and a new color, Whiskey(Brown) plus it also has a mini size of the cult favorite Urban Decay Primer Potion(UDPP)! all for ₱2,800 + shipping. I must say that the price is a bit expensive but the price is great since this retails for $40 (approx. ₱2,000) in the US.

The eye shadows are neutrals with different finishes. Most are shimmery while some are satin, matte and sparkly. The texture is very creamy especially the shimmer shades and it blends so easily! The shades are also perfect for everyday make-up! You can create a no make-up look to extreme smokey eyes with this and it is perfect for work, school or even night outs! I can confidently say that this is the last palette you will ever need! (Or until the UD Book of Shadows vol. 3 comes along..=D)

I'll show you more close-up pictures of each shade.
Virgin: Satin; Sin: Shimmer; Naked: Matte
Sidecar: Sparkly; Buck: Matte; Half Baked: Shimmer
Smog: Shimmer; Darkhorse: Sparkly; Toasted: Shimmer
Hustle: Satin; Creep: Sparkly; Gunmetal: Sparkly
The Shimmer shades are extremely gorgeous!! The sparkly shadows are quite unexpected since I don't like glittery shadows but these are extraordinary. The glitters are so small that it doesn't fall out but it does give that extra sparkle in the eyes. It's amazing! The satin shadows are okay. Hustle needed a bit of effort to apply but the color is very pretty. The matte shadows are just okay since these matte browns are quite easy to find. Individually the shadows it self are great but combine them into one palette? You got an awesome palette! The 24/7 pencil and the UDPP is just a great bonus. The design is also very ideal for traveling plus it has a mirror that can actually fit your face unlike other palettes that has a mirror that can only fit one eye! =D

Now keep reading for swatches..
Virgin: Satin, pinky beige shade. Great as a inner tear-duct highlighter
Sin: Shimmer, light pink with silver undertones.
Naked: Matte, warm taupe brown.
Sidecar: Sparkly, pinky taupe with silver glitters
Buck: Matte, warm medium brown
Half Baked: Shimmer, golden copper
Smog: Shimmer, dark golden brown

Darkhorse: Sparkly, dark brown with gold glitters
Toasted: Shimmer, plumy golden pink
Hustle: Satin, dark plum brown
Creep: Sparkly, almost matte black base with flecks of multi-colored glitters
Gunmetal: Sparkly, dark bluish gray with flecks of silver glitter
Ouch! my head hurts from trying to describe these colors! haha! I must say I didn't give it much justice because my descriptions seems blah compared to the actual shades! You really must see it to appreciate it. Phew! that's about it! sorry for making this post picture heavy! now here's another one..
Haha! If you want to invest in a great product then I suggest you get this palette. This is great for experienced make-up mavens or if you are just starting to build your make-up collection.

Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach

Hi lovelies! It's such an exciting week for me since the 3rd and final book from the Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins is now out! I've been waiting for this for a year now!
Are you know confused with the title and my post? =D Well this book has been keeping me up at night! And No Sleep = Dark Circles!! Get ready to see my face with my zombie look..=P

My eyes look really tired and make my Under-eye circles more visible! Yuck! So I believe it is time to road test my trusty Bobbi Brown Corrector! I have this for some time now since I bought this in Changi Airport in Singapore for SG$31 so that's approximately ₱1000. It is quite pricey for a product that only has .06 oz or 1.7 g but it's so worth it! Read on to see why.

Here is a close up of my dark circles. Can you see the dark purplish tone it has?
So to cancel out the bluish purple tones, you must use the colors opposite the color wheel. So those would be your yellow to orange tones. Is it getting too scientific? =D Let the pictures show you why!
This shade is in Peach. You can see that the shade is a bit orange.

Start with applying your eye cream. This can minimize fine lines and helps your skin absorb the corrector.

Then using your concealer brush, apply the corrector to your dark circles. Try to reach until your lower lash line to make your eyes look brighter and more awake!

After applying with a brush; not yet blended
Then next, use your ring finger to gently press the product into your skin so that it will adhere much better and you can blend the corrector out.

Now you're done! Look at the before and after pictures...

Before: Right Eye, After: Left Eye
See how effectively it cancels out my dark circles? This product is very creamy yet so lightweight but you have to set this with powder so it won't run. For extreme dark circles, this corrector may not be enough. You still have to use a concealer on top of this one but it will help than slapping on tons of concealer that can make your eyes look ashy. But for me, I just set this with powder then put on my foundation.
Do I recommend this product? I say YES!! on top of my lungs! =D It is quite expensive I believe it's around ₱1,100 here in Rustans but the quality is just amazing! Plus there are so many shades to choose from so you can get your perfect match. This Bobbi Brown Corrector tops my list of what beauty product you must splurge on!

Showin' Bobbi Brown some lovin' =D

Human ❤ Nature Cleanser and Make-up Remover

Hallow ladies!! How's the week been treating y'all? I know the Philippines have been taking some Major,Major blows these past few days.. It makes me so sad that lives were lost in such a pointless and avoidable way but it is what it is.. and we know that as a nation we can get through this and this too shall pass.

Moving on.. I'm quite the late bloomer when it comes to Human ❤ Nature products. It has been making waves  for some time now but it is my first time trying their products. From what I know when you buy their products, it would benefit the Gawad Kalinga Foundation. So you not only get pretty, you get to help out too! And best is their products do not have chemicals that can harm us and the environment! See my point why I like their products? =D But wait there's MORE!!

(Haha! I sound like your home TV shopping channel!) The prices are unbelievably AFFORDABLE! And you know how I love those! =P

First up! The Cleanser and Make-up Remover. I bought this at Sesou in Market!Market! for only  ₱99.75!!

It has Honey and Cocoa Butter! Two substances that are known to be great for the skin. So let's try this out on my face yes? Here is a picture of my face after I got home today from work and my face has all the make-up, pollution and oil that I acquired during the day (ewwww..)

My face disapproves of yucky gunk on the face!!

Now let's do this!! According to them: "Massage a button-sized amount all over the face and eye-area and gently wipe of with tissue or rinse with water"

Since for me, button comes in all shapes and sizes I was a bit confused as to how much I need to use so I just picked the button of my jacket and based it from there..=P

I swear the button on my jacket is not shaped like a football! =D

And then I massaged it on my dry face. The texture is not very creamy. It's more gel-like in consistency and very slippery on the skin. (Think Cetaphil that is thick) I take special care especially near my eyes and I am wearing waterproof mascara so I take my time cleaning my lashes. Now wipe it off with cotton wipes or facial tissue. I also used it to remove my lipstick by putting some on tissue and gently wiping my lips clean.

So that's about it! I find my face rid of all make-up. Even my water-proof mascara is gone! And best part is that it left my skin really soft and supple. Then just follow this up by washing your face with your favorite cleanser and you're done! =D

Human ❤ Nature products are available in all Sesou Nature Source Stores in Market!Market!, Trinoma and Glorietta 3. You can also order online or find independent resellers.
Do I recommend this product? I'll give it my thumbs mark!

Pretty Little Liars

I just wanna share one show I'm religiously following now. The show is a bit shallow but still I find myself being drawn in by all the pretty girls with their impeccable make-up and trendy clothes..=D

My fave character would be Emily Fields played by Shay Mitchell because she's so pretty!!  Amaazing cheek-bones and face shape!! And I love that she's kinda morena and asian/ hawaiian looking.. so puurtty.. =D I officially have a girl crush on her..=P
I want to do her make-up!! =D

The story is your typical mean girls barkada in high school with the usual alpha female being the most meanest of them all but then she disappears and presumed dead. I actually find the storyline going nowhere fast but I do hope they get more seasons since I still like to see their cute clothes and great make-up! **shallow-mode**

That's it pusit! haha.. I just wanted to make a quick post since I have been neglecting this blog.. So sorry to my 9 followers..wahaha..=P Okay I'm feeling a bit wonky from all the flu meds I ingested and Efficascent oil I have inhaled because I caught the damn flu bug that's been going around for a while now.. I gotta stop writing now.. bye!! =D
Oh btw, do watch this show when you get the chance. It can be still worth your while..❤

Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub: A Review

Hello Ladies!! Summer has long been gone and one way to feel our new season is to shed off that tan. I've gotten a bit dark this summer from all the beach getaways I've gone to and now I feel silly being tan since it's not summer anymore. While most people prefer summer, somehow I love our rainy season better. I love clothes that are for colder climates (think Blair from Gossip Girl, Cute!!) and I want my skin to look paler for the weather. (weird ba yun?)

Soooo.. enough blabbering.. I decided to try Body Scrubs since I feel that I can just slough off my tan.(haha assuming!) and so that I can just target areas that became darker to have a somewhat even complexion. After reading in Cosmo that there is this new product that can scrub your body, whiten while moisturizing and has Vitamin E, I decided to give it a try! And best of it all.. It's dirt cheap!! =D

It's called Asian Secrets Lulur Whitening Body Scrub.

I bought mine for ₱ 130 for a 250 g tub. Cheap right? but was it a waste of money? hmmmm....

Asian secret says that the benefits are:
  • It gently exfoliates the skin and removes dead skin cells to soften the skin and give it a radiant glow.
  • Frequent usage reduces skin pigmentation and evens out skin tone by getting rid of dark patches, especially in areas prone to darkening such as the elbows, knees, armpits, and area between the thighs.
  • It contains Vitamin E and Green Tea extract, powerful anti-oxidants that protect your skin from free radicals to keep it healthy and young looking.
  • It also contains Squalene and Olive Oil that help maintain moisture in your skin.
Wow, are you impressed? pretty good stuff right? so I went ahead and used it as per their directions:

"Scrub all over your skin especially the dark areas while it is dry to remove impurities, dead skin and dirt. Rinse with water. Use Daily"

So I did that for about a week but I noticed that some red bumps appeared on my skin. Though my skin is not that sensitive, I found that the direction of using the scrub while your skin is dry can be a bit too rough on the skin. (To the ladies that have tried this, did you experience the same thing?)

(Now that the product is in front of me they actually have a warning that If irritation or rashes occur, discontinue use. Ooops.. must have missed that one... )

Anyway, I continued using it after I have showered so that my skin is wet and voila! The bumps are gone! and best of all, my skin feels so smooth after. I do notice a bit of lightening of my dark spots but not too drastic. I also noticed that my skin feels warm after using this. (Good or Bad? You decide) I have used this daily for 3 weeks now and I still haven't finished my tub!

What's good about it:
  • The Price! for ₱130 a tub is not bad since it has tons of product!
  • It is very creamy and full of scubbing beads unlike other creamy body scrubs where you can actually count how many beads there are.
  • My skin doesn't feel dry after but I still put lotion after.
  • The smell! At first I didn't like it because it was a bit over-powering but now that I've gotten used to it, I like it now. =D
You can see all the scrubbing beads! =D

What I don't like about it:
  • I had red bumps. But I figured out a way around that.
  • For the ladies who have sensitive skin, the ingredients have Parabens. =(
  • It's only exclusively available in Watsons
Will I purchase again? Definitely! The cons doesn't trump the pros for me especially since it's super CHEAP!! haha like me? hmmm..=P
